Cookies & Privacy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Daily Atlas has no accounts, no ads and no trackers. Your worlds are saved in this browser, on this device. We don’t collect information about you, and we never sell or share it.

Who we are

Daily Atlas (called Meu Atlas Diário in Portuguese) is made by Marcelo Borges, who is responsible for how information is handled on this site (the “data controller”, in legal terms). You can reach him at [email protected].

Cookies and your device

Daily Atlas uses one cookie. It remembers the world you were in and where you were standing, so you can pick up where you left off. It’s essential for the game to work, it isn’t used to identify you or to follow you around the web, and it’s never shared. Because it’s essential, it doesn’t need your consent.

Your worlds, your settings and the photos you pin in houses are kept in your browser’s own storage, on this device, and never reach us. Photos are kept as small copies: your original photos aren’t stored or sent anywhere.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. That also deletes your worlds, so download a copy first if you want to keep them.

What reaches our server

Like any website, our server receives your device’s internet (IP) address when it sends you the game. We don’t use it to identify you. Beyond that, only what you choose to send:

Why we use it

The cookie and your browser’s storage are used only because they’re needed to give you the game you asked for. Briefly holding your IP address keeps the transfer service safe from abuse, which is our legitimate interest. The anonymous map counts tell us whether shared maps are being used, and contain no personal information.

Who else sees it

No one. Daily Atlas has no analytics, no advertising and no social media buttons, and loads nothing from other companies. Our server is run by a hosting company that stores and delivers the site for us, and does nothing else with it.

Links in shops, libraries and houses take you to other websites, which have their own privacy rules.

Children

Daily Atlas can be enjoyed at any age. Since there are no accounts and we don’t collect personal information, children can play without sharing anything about themselves.

Your rights

Under data protection laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the LGPD in Brazil, you can ask what information we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Since we keep no personal information on our server, there’s usually nothing for us to look up: your worlds exist only on your devices, and only you can see or delete them.

For any question or request, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If the way Daily Atlas handles information changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
